Question

Dear Sirs, I have a boiler that came with a L8148E control box and a S8610M intermittent pilot control. My local heating store gave me a S8610U for a replacement, I changed the wires exactly, and it won't start. Is there another connection that needs to be made, or do I need to use the TH-W spot that I didn't have before?

Answer

I think you need to jump that TH -W or wire to the Thermostat

Fig 4 shows that you need to have something across TV - T terminals either a jumper or single pole switch like a thermostat

Thank you for your responce, but I tried that too and after speaking to the vendor, they are sending me a new pilot control. They say the unit is defective.

Thanks for the advice, but it didn't work.
