Hello Tim-
In patients with severe west Nile Virus infection it is not uncommon to have ongoing symptoms including fatigue, difficulty concentrating and other neurologic or psychiatric symptoms.
By this time, the viral infection itself is obviously long gone, but the damage and symptoms certainly may continue. as for if you could get disability- it depends on your functional state- There are formal tests and fairly detailed forms that describe what you can and cannot do that help determine your eligibility for disability. Your doctor should be able to help you out as far as if you qualify, or may have a more formal assessment by a neurologist or ab occupational health doctor.
As far as treatment- at this point it is really symptomatic care- measures to try to control your symptoms and maximize what you can do- Supportive care, and possibly physical or occupational therapy.
Good luck and I hope this helps.
