I have looked on several online sites and had heard from the family that a grandfather had left money to my sisters and myself upon his death. But I was the first to actually research it online. And found several sites that show the exact amount that the family says was owed to us from hi estate.

Answer

Understood. There are a significant amount of persons with uncollected inheritances and other property in every State. As such, private companies are jumping on board and charging people unnecessary funds to help them find out what they are owed.

You do not need to hire anyone. Instead, I recommend that you call the Treasury Office in Kentucky. Here is their website:

http://www.kytreasury.com/

And here is the unclaimed property division:

http://www.kytreasury.com/apps/up/ .

Hope it helps. Someone there will be able to get you where you need.
