If you did not give authorization for money to be taken out every month and there is no court ordered collections process involved here, then it most certainly is illegal. They are stealing your money. First, contact your bank and have it stopped. The bank can change your account number to prevent future illegal withdrawals. Next, contact the police and report the matter. Finally, you would have a cause of action against both the company that took your money as well as the one that provided your bank information without your consent.
