Question

I am 10 days late on a truck payment .The problem I have is they call me all hrs of the day 7 days a week and treaten me that they are sending someone to get my truck .I am in the carpenters union and have been laid off since july 08 .My union has called me saying that a rude man has been calling them and yelling at them.This has gone on for along time.Everytime i am so much as a day late they call myex employers and my 70 year old dad and is very rude aout it.Is there anything i can do to stop this.I have less than 20 months left to pay on it.And even as i said have been unemployed i have done good to keep the payments up.

You need to send a certified letter to the lender informing then to only contact you by mail at the address in the letter and no phone calls regarding the account. If they continue to make phone calls after receipt of the letter then you can file a claim and sue under violation of the Fair Debt Collection Act.
