We need to compute the "z score", which tells us how many stdevs your score is from the mean:z = (x-mu)/sigma, where x is the tester's score, mu is the mean, and sigma is the stdev
mean = 3.5x = 1.5sigma = 0.5
z = (1.5-3.5)/0.5z = (-2)/0.5z = -4
The score is -4 standard deviations from the mean (4 standard deviations below the mean).
