Question

I have a old trane electric furnace. One of the contactors failed. I replaced it. Both contactors appear to be working. The furnace doesn't put out as much heat as it should. It does heat some. Not like it did before. Thanks.

Is the new contactor wired exactly the same as the old one? When the contactor closes do you have 240 volts across the load side of the contactor? Did you use a new contactor?
