Hello-
I'm so sorry Skeeter isn't feeling well. More than likely, she has a bad tooth or teeth that are causing her pain, which is why she isn't eating much. I am going to attach a list of several agencies that can often help when money is an issue for pet owners.
With cats, it is VERY difficult to tell when they are hurting as they cover it up excellently. Cats often purr when they are in pain, which makes owners think they are happy and pain-free, when oftentimes, it is exactly the opposite. Cats have to be very ill before they stop acting 'normal' - and usually they just go off and hide somewhere in the house, or stop interacting with their owners when they feel poorly. They are definitely masters of deception where pain is concerned.
Given Skeeter's age, I think a trip to your vet is in order, and let him/her know about her appetite and ask if they could check for dental problems. In cats this age, a good portion of inappetance problems are directly related to teeth.
One of our experts (Terri-purrfectkitty) has made a very comprehensive list of various agencies that can help with financial problems in most instances. With her permission, I am listing them all for you. One of them should be able to assist you as this is a situation that needs to be addressed fairly soon:
