Hello:

I have some questions for you:

  1. How long ago did your dog ingest the decon?
  2. How much did he ingest?

Awaiting your reply.

Reply

1. He did it about 30 min or less.
2. The box was 3in. x 3in.x 3/8 high and he took about less than a quarter of it.

Accepted Answer

I recommend inducing vomiting and getting him to an ER vet tonight if possible. Give him a capful of hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting. Do not feed him, but allow him to have water.

Decon is very toxic to dogs and can cause internal bleeding. The ER vet will be able to give him a medication to decrease the likelihood of bleeding and flush out his system.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
