Thanks for the question XXXXXXXX.

In direct answer to your question : I think to be on the safe side you should have your dog checked over by the vet.

I say this because your dog is not eating or drinking at the minute, while in your dog this may well be a trivial condition which would resolve without treatment you just never know. My general approach would be that is a dog is vomiting but is otherwise bright , healthy and wanting to eat you can often resolve the situation by starving the dog for a day and then gradually putting it back on its normal diet. However if the animal is depressed or anorexic it should be checked over. At the very least your vet will have access to drugs to make him feel better quickly.

If I have not covered your question fully enough or you would like to ask more I will be online for the next hour or so and I will be at your disposal.

Great.. thank you! I will watch him tonight and if he is still weird-lethargic in the morning, I will take him to the vet.
