I got the cowl off and found the rat. Problem is I can't reach it. Its all the way on the passenger side. How do I get in there?

When you looking into the duct from the engine side, it's to the left in the corner, close to the passenger side dashboard vent.

Answer

I have not run into this problem, so I am trying to remember what you are seeing. If it's where I am thinking, You would need to access the duct from the inside. How ever if you can see it, using a pair of magic fingers ( a Tool ) may be able to reach in and grab him, so he can be removed. I call them magic fingers, I don't know what they are actually called. I just grabbed these images of the tool, by listed as Claw Pickup Tool. It's a cheap tool, but I think this will help you in your situation.
