Answer

Thanks for writing in,

Sorry to hear about your girl! I would look into something called leptospirosis, titers can be done to test for this. IT is a bacteria that really affects the liver. You may also want to have an ultrasound and biopsy done of the liver to see what is going on. HOpefully your dog is on iv fluids and antibiotics that are liver friendly. Without real aggressive therapy and diagnostics I'm afraid you may loose your sweet girl. Take care and I hope this helps to give you some direction.

allready on iv fluids and iv antibiotics they dont seem to be helping looking for something other than pancreatitice, leptospirosis, any ideas at all? I dont think she could make it through a biopsy

Accepted Answer

It sounds like they are doing a great job with treatment, have they done an ultrasound? They can do a biopsy without her being anesthetized.
