The code is showing a problem with the flue but all appears to be normal internally and externally.

If the information you are to give me is the same I have already gleaned that info from the instruction book, so have no need for confirmation of that, just a solution please.

Answer

Hi John

Last post didnt post!! Weird

The ravenheat manuals are to say the least vague hence your query!!

This boiler has no flue pressure sensor and is monitored by the fan sending a signal to the board. If this was faulty error code 17 Fan fault would show.

This model has an anti cycling device in the board to prevent the boiler clicking in and out , as far as I can see from the schematics this has no link to the fan signal to the board. However it maybe be that the anti cycle will operate the fan in order to clear combustion products from the flue when activated. This would indicate a pcb problem me. However the best bet is the ravenheat tech support at Tel: +44 (0)113 XXX XXXX.

I think they will say change the board, i would be very interested in their diagnosis.

Without the fault code , i would have plumbed for the flame supervision device and checked the leads and the positioning.

Sorry I cant be of more help

Alex
