Question
I currently have a Galaxy/Slant Fin Gas Boiler. Its an older model that came with the house when I purchased it in August 2008. Its been working great and had its annual check in March of 2008. There has been a squeeking like noise coming from an attachment on the boiler. I believe it is the circulator. Can you tell me if it needs oil or maybe its something much more serious and it needs to be looked at by a professioal?

Accepted Answer
If ther is an oil cup with spring cap do put some oil in and see if your problem goes away but for a more lasting solution change the circultor to a cartridge type like Taco 007 or Grundfos
