pull top off syphon break and clean out what built up inside and that should take care of it and if not you will need to replace it ,,, hope this helps

i cleaned it out AND replaced it but water still issues from the syphon. any other ideas??

do you have a disposal ,,,, if you do pull the drain hose off coming from dishwasher and clean the pipe / larry

i cleaned every hose and even ran disposal to ensure that it was not clogged. any other ideas??

the only thing that will cause it to back up is a blockage ,,,, disposal can sill drain but the pipe the hose hooks onto can have a build up in it ,,,,
