Question
Our LG gas dryer does not heat. I cleaned the vent, but it did not help. It is a front load dryer. The drum also thumps when turning. It seems to labor to try to turn smoothly. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I am LG authorized and repair these for a living. Thumping usually caused by a split drum seam. Locate the seam on the drum and see if it is spilt at either the front or back; it will be fairly obvious if it is. Drum is expensive, so worry about no heat after you check it.

The drum is not split. I opened to take a look at it yesterday. Maybe alignment? I am new to this website. If I accept at first, can I still reply.
