Question

When I went to start my car, it wouldn't start. The anti theft horn sounded when I put the key in the ignition. Then when I opened the driver side door, put the key in the ignition, the car started but the horn sounds when ever I close the door. Why does this happen

Answer

If the alarm was set and unlocked with the key and not the remote this can happen if the drivers door power lock actuator is bad. The alarm control unit must see the unlock from the door lock actuator(motor).
You can put the alarm in valet mode to turn it off. I do not have a copy of the manual availible to me but if I remember correctly there is a black push button installed on a lower panel on the drivers side. Turn your key on and press that button one time and it should put the alarm in valet mode.

That did not work. The button is there, and when I push it, the car made a few beeps. When I strated the car, the loud beeping just continues.

How many times does it beep? Can you count the LED flashing also, unless it is a continuous flashing
