I have what feels like a large size lump, small gumball like in the back of my throat. My voice is a little scratchy but doesn't really hurt. But I had my roommate look at my tonsils and they aren't swollen. What do you think is up?

I can't see it. I think it has something to deal with my glands cause my neck on the right side is really sore

Answer

Without examining you It is hard to say. But it is always recommended to get any sore throat cultured for strep, as strep, if you were to have it can cause a systemic illness leading to heart damage. It is really best for you to go in person to a clinic.
