Answer

Hello,

Thank you for your question.

The color of bowel movements are determined by several factors. The breakdown of BiliRubin causes the stool to be Brown. The stool can be green when they are is rapid transit of the stool thru the bowel where there is not enough time for the BiliRubin to give it the normal color. Also certain foods may cause the stool to be green in color such as broccoli and spinach and other green colored vegetables. This is nothing to worry about it. if it concerns you, you may want to see your doctor about it but it should pass on its own.
