Question

the company that i work mails out your payroll checks; we are supposed to receieve them on friday. I did not receive mine and the payroll manager has advised me that i have to wait an week and if i want to stop payment on the check and have another reissued i would have to pay 45.00. I can wait until January 9th when are received our next check for get. My question is what is my legal options at this point.

Answer

You can complain to the state labor department about the untimely payment. You could also sue in small claims court but practically wont get you paid any faster.
