Metronidazole (Flagyl, MetroGel) and clindamycin (cleocin, Clindesse) are the first choice antibiotics used to treat BV and work very well so I would see your doctor to get a prescription for one of these. If you haven't done so already, you should see your doctor for testing to make sure it is BV. In the meantime make sure you wear cotton underwear, and after going to the bathroom wipe from front to back. Also avoid any type of douches, feminine spray, and the like. I realize that. However, my ? is will the Doxycycline work? I am trying to prevent seeing a doctor d/t time constraints. Thank you.

No- this will not work. Only the medications I listed will work for this type of infection, and you really need to see a doctor to make sure this is BV and not some other type of infection. If you have time constraints or money is an issue, then I would go to a local Planned Parenthood clinic.
