Dear XXXXXX, I'm sorry to hear about your relapse. It's sounds to me that you have a lot people around you that care for you. It also sounds that although these people may have had good intentions, it has not served you well. I would suggest that the best way to proceed is to be open with them. I would tell your parents and husband in an assertive way (respectful of yourself and of them) that you appreciate their concern (I think you do) but you really want to deal with this without their intervention. Having said that, I do think that you need outside support from a mental health professional. You mention that you have spoken with a pastor and gone to AA meetings. While these are all powerful tools, I would suggest that if you can afford the time and money that you should seek a one-to-one form of therapy. Preferably, you should seek someone that has experience with addictions.
