Can I get the make model and year?
While the vehicle is on is the instrument cluster showing door ajar?
I assume you have verified the switch for the courtesy lamps is not turned to the on position at the headlamp switch correct?
When running if you open a door is the door ajar icon even working?
Ok when you get the chance do check the operation of the door ajar icon to see if we need to go in tha path of the switches. One may be stuck which is very common and they are mounted inside the door to the door latches.
