How many miles per gallon will a Volvo V50 2.0 litre diesel 136bhp give me in every day driving. Volvo say 48mpg is this true?

I currently drive a VW Passat TDI 130 and get around 50 - 55 mpg, would the Volvo V50 be less than that on average? I drive steadily on longer distances mostly.

Hello,

If you get a manual transmission.
The V50 would get pretty much the same as your Passat.

If it would make you more confident you can take one for a test drive.
Reset the economy meter before you go.
