The viruses that cause hepatitis in humans are specific to primates (so it could get passed to an monkey, but NOT a dog). There has not ever been a known transmission of hepatitis from a human to a dog.

Some people have worried about a dog biting an infected human and then passing that infection along to another human through a second bite. This is theoretically possible, but has never been documented and the dog would need to bite the two people in rapid succession to transmit the infected blood from one to the other.

Please let me know if I can be of more help.
