Question

i have a 98 linc cont and I just replaced battery. I get a mrun OK for a minute then kights flicker andessage to check traction control afterstarting. the dash lights flicker, heater fan stops,. If i turn engine off I cant restart. I disconnect bat and the car will restart, r lun OK for a minute then lights flicker and I get traction control message again???

You need to test the voltage at the battery with the engine running. It sounds like your alternator is not working. Once the system voltage drops below about 11.5 volts a lot of the systems on the car will not work correctly. Cluster lighting, T/C and A/C are just 3 of them.
