Several resistors are burnt and I can't tell the values. R43 is the one I really need. Any help would be appreciated!

Answer

hi are you talking the ones in the trans control unit

Yes. Specifically resistor R43 in the Transmission Control Unit. I need this resistor value because the one in my Unit is burnt and I can't read the color code. This is for a 90 Honda Accord EX.

Please take a magnifying glass and read the colors for me. One side will start with GOLD. Gold is the last important number. There will be three colors in front of it. Read from the furthest from the gold first. Choices are: Black Brown Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Violet White. Please read the colors either way starting with either end. I can figure it out from there but it's VERY important to get the colors correct ESPECIALLY the one closest to the Gold band. R43 is right behind a square three wire component (transistor). If these power transistors go bad then the R43 gets hot or burns the colors. That's what happened on ours so I need you to read the colors from a working TCU. You said tan (which is probably Brown) and Red, which would be perfectly fine. The third color right beside in front of the Gold will tell me how many zeros to add to the total value of the resistor. *very important*. If you can get the magnifying glass out and tell me these colors it would be FANTASTIC!!! Thanks!

Just to make absolutely sure we're both talking about the same resistor, can you tell me what the resistor number is right next to R43? It would be the second one behind that transistor. If we're agreed then I think you've answered our question perfectly!
