Question

i have a 2004 bmw 525i with 61000 miles. i recently got a message about a lighting system malfunction. the headlights come on when i start the car. the turn signals and instrument lights do not work. also when i turn on the light switch nothing happens. Is this a fuse problem? Can I fix it myself?

hi, you could check the fuses, but it sounds like its going to be a more serious problem, like the light module failing internally, i'll have a look at the wire diagrams and update you with which fuses to check in a few mins,

I can't find a map of the fuse box. My "manual" does not have schematic info.

Found the schematic in the trunk. Checked all fuses related to lights, lighting. All looked ok. There were no fuses 112 or 113.

hi, the 112 & 113 are bigger 'maxi' fuses, they should be in there aswell?
are you any good at electrical testing with a multimeter?
