Answer

yes, just put any live and earth under the bonnet to power it up - ie jump leads - red to battery + underbonnet connection, and black to anygood engine earth point,

thhat does nothing,is there an emergency trunk release?

Answer

hi, it should power the full car up if you are doing it correctly as that big terminal terminal goes straight to the battery! unless the safety battery terminal has exploded, in an crash.

is yours a saloon/coupe/conv? there should be a normal key hole in the boot lid where you can turn it all the way to pop the boot, if its a coupe, the barrel is on an angle at the end of the grab strip where the plate lamps are.
no emerg release cable
