Question

My brand new Amana oven is constantly on, in that it takes a while to cool off and sounds like it is still on for prolonged period. The oven has not been used for a week and today it was warm inside.   We used it for dinner-Christmas eve and now the door will not close. My daughters moved alot of buttons in order to get the pork roast completed and this may have affected things. We had to turn oven off at circuit breaker to get it to stop.   Help. Karla

It is electric and brand new and we have had it a week. We made the best of it Christmas eve and then found the manual. It was installed by an electrician but we did not know about the screws for a tilt of oven door.

It takes two to insert the screws for the tilting door and I will just have to get electrician back. I read manual and the off and on sounds are "part of the thermal" heating system.

If this is not answer to problem, I will contact Amana since unit is in fact brand new.

thanks for your help, XXXXXXXXXXX

Answer

i would have a warranty call on it because its is free and it might need parts that were damaged in shipping the unit the longer you wait the harder it will be to blame it on shipping

I wish I could pay for this one, but we did not receive answer (understandably, it was Christmas eve). We found the manual, have the screws and will fix it, as I reported earlier. thanks,KarlawithaK ond tdu
