Question

When we turn the broiler on, the oven lights; however when we try and use it to bake, the oven doesn't heat up. It isn't a new oven and until now, we never had this problem.

However, the heating element works when broil is selected.

Accepted Answer

is the broil element on top of the oven? you didn't get me the model# so I'm just guessing if the broil is on top of the oven it has 2 ignites and the bake ignitor is under the loser oven pan

Okay, now that makes sense. The model number is GE JGSSP48. Is this ignitor easily replacable? Thanks very much!

Answer
