We have a GE Profile 30 inch oven that isn't heating

When we turn the broiler on, the oven lights; however when we try and use it to bake, the oven doesn't heat up. It isn't a new oven and until now, we never had this problem.

here is a picture of where the part is you will need to replace http://groups.msn.com/Appliantology/ranges.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=348 and here is the part that it should be replaced with i think because you didn't give me a model# i can only guess http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=b3a13c249i1990&PartID=1990 or http://www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=b3a13c249i2494&PartID=2494 get the one that looks the same as the one you have

However, the heating element works when broil is selected.

is the broil element on top of the oven? you didn't get me the model# so I'm just guessing if the broil is on top of the oven it has 2 ignites and the bake ignitor is under the loser oven pan

Okay, now that makes sense. The model number is GE JGSSP48. Is this ignitor easily replacable? Thanks very much!

here is the part just make sure your oven has a round ignitor. yes just a few screws hold ignitor on and 2 wires on some GE's the problem is getting to the ignitor
