Question

we have a policy that says that vacation cannot be taken once notice to leave them employment is given, and if you don't give 30 days notice, you lose any accrued vacation. I gave 3 weeks notice, but I had a vacation day already approved, and she took it away. Can she do that? thanks

Answer

Yes, provided the employer has such a policy in place it can take away acrrued vacation as you describe. You can try to negotiate otherwise.
