It would be quite unlikely the fever is from the steroid injection ( unless of course you have an infection at the injection site). Steroids are anti-inflammatories, and generally they lead to resolution of fever.
I suspect the far more likely explanation is the fever is from either your ear or nose infection. The timing is quite likely just a coincidence.
