Question
My mother lives in NJ. My father died last year and left credit card debt. All cards were in his name solely and were NOT joint with my mother. He owned a house with my mother (which she sold after his death) but had no assets beyond that. He also had a small amount of life insurance from his job. Is my mother legally liable for the debt and is the life insurance or house assets the credit card company can claim?
