each pill is 75mg, so he takes 2 in the morning and again 2 at night...he seems to get ansy alot, he also has these, I don't know how to explain it...he'll start to tighten up, fists n all, shaking a little,, sometimes I hear him talk, like hes alone....he says its anxiety...

I don't know what to think. He also said he had been years ago to a neuro about it...we were just married this past sept, I 'm just worried for him, He seems to have these episodes a lot though.

Like I said, he'll start to tighten up,,as if he was extremely mad, sometimes he doesnt realize he's doing it...I just touch him to bring him back so to say...

Hello Jude:   Bupropion is the generic for Wellbutrin, a very good antidepressant. Bupropion works on Norephinephrine and Serotonin, while Paxil is an SSRI - a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, which works with - you guessed it- Serotonin. Part of your confusion, I think, is that different medications come in different doses. For Paxil, you might take 20-40 mg, while the standard dose for Bupropion is 75 mg. to 150 mg per day. It is also taken in two doses unless you take it in a sustained release form. Some of my patients have taken as much as 300 mg. of Bupropion per day and that is well within the recommended dosage for that drug. Your husband is taking the standard dose of Bupropion for depression at 300 mg per day. However, his episodes of anxiety certainly warrant a discussion with his doctor. He may need another kind of antidepressant to augment the Bupropion. I also would like him to see his Neuro doc to make sure there is nothing else going on. I hope this answer has been helpful. Please let me know if I may be of further assistance. I wish you well. Take care.
