Question

My car battery died yesterday, got a new one, car works great, my CD player, however, is not exactly working. When I tried to turn it on, it's like it's asking for a code or something. It only had one owner before me so I asked her first. She said it had never happened to her before... what do I need to do?

Answer

No,

What you need to do is get the radio's serial number then call your local Honda dealer. If you give them the serial number they look up the code online with Honda for you. To get the serial number you turn on the ignition to the II position then turn on the radio and press the "1" and "6" button and hold them down at the same time. The radio display then will show a letter and some numbers. Then a second screen with a letter and some numbers. Write it all down. For example it should look something like "U1234/L5678"

Call your local dealer and give them the serial number and they'll get you the code. Once you have the code you enter it into the radio with the preset buttons and it will unlock so you can use it again.

Let me know if you need more help.
