hi XXXX,
first donot take out the eggs out of the cage ,
second provide a clean nesting box with hay /paper cuttings to encourage brooding,
third if the female still is not paying attention to eggs ( remove the male out as it will encourage brooding behaviour)
lastly if you have two pairs pair them out one male and one female.
para keet sneed additional supplements of vitamins during breding (provide whole hard boiled eggs )
keep the temperature ambient at 55-65degrees fahrenheit and for better hatchability 80-85%humidity
i do not want to encourage breeding it want it to stop .... how can i stop the female parakeet from laying eggs... should i separate the male & put him in a diffferent cage i only have the 2 birds.... i dont think you understand my question? please let me know if you need anything further... XXXX
oh ok then you have to seprate them out as they are also monagamous they pair for life

my apologies for ;ate reply
i was offline.
since they are homogamous you will ned to get a male for the female which is laying ( as you dont want laying) and female for your male if possible
its quite a distubing fact to seprate two loving birds but since you insist on stopping her from laying . ( it would rather be better to just take the eggs away as its a normal phenomenon of ovulation and after 36 weeks or so they will stop laying and just moult ).alternatively you can just cut down on rations to 75 % of feed and also increase the temperature of the room to 5 degrees more . (heat stress) to decrease the percentage of ovulation and egg laying.
thanks and regards
