I woke up this morning with a swollen bottom lip on the left side. It seems to be inside the lip and is about an inch long. It is smooth inside but feels tender and looks a little puffy in that inch area. Help! eek!

As per your description, it does not seem like allergy, many times, people get those kind of swelling due to dental problems or teeth bite. I think taking multivitamins and using local anesthetics should work for you. And of course you will have to maintain good orodental hygiene.

I have wonderful oral hygeine..I floss....use a sonicare tooothbrush and even use a tounge brush. That isn't it. Any other suggestions? I do get cold sores 1 or 2x's a year that are never severe. Could that be it? It doesn't tingle or feel like one though.

You have been taking good care of your mouth and possibility of dental cares are less. But your short history indicates, may be teeth byte as it's inside your mouth, it can be cold sore as well. But the bottom like is that you just move ahead with above conservative measures and see if it's get better.
