Question

My Havanese has an eye muscle that protrudes occasionally and then recedes about a day later. Should I be concerned?

It's a cherry eye. The are common to the breed. Is is technically the tear gland of the third eyelid---it makes 40% of the tears for that eye, so it is important. You'll have to let the vet look at it--sometimes they will go down on their own in puppies, but usually they have to be tacked down in a minor surgical procedure.
