I have a Trane xv80. The blower seems to be working when turning on the thermostat but the heater never seems to fire or blow warm air. It appears that the furnace is not igniting.

We just had a service man out. He turned the heater on from the thermostat and it worked fine. We tried for days to get heat out of the vents and got none. The heater hasn't been serviced in two or three years...but the guy that came out didn't service it either....but charged us $90 for the service call. He didn't do a thing.

The furnance is only about 4 yrs old. We haven't done anything to correct the problem, as the problem apparently fixed itself. He did say not to have the thermostate below 50. Not sure there is anything you can tell me now. We have purchased new filters as they were dirty.

I guess we will have to see what happens from here.
