Question
I have a 1988 530I that is having a clutch issue. The clutch will sometimes stick all the way to the floor after being depressed. It will return to normal position by manually lifting the pedal. The issue is sporadic. Any ideas as to what I should do to fix?

Answer
Hi joe, it sounds like you are having a hydraulic problem. It sounds as though one of your clutch cylinders is bypassing on occasion. I'd consider replacing the cylinders to cure the problem.
