hello i have a challenge...i own a 328i 1999. and i am locked out of the vechile...my romote key wasnt program again when the key battery died...i cant use the manual lock on the drivers side door knob because the lock just spins...the truck unlocks but doesnt unlock the interior doors...so my question is: IS THERE ANYWAY INTO MY CAR?...my mechanic wants to saw off the drivers side handle etc to get in but that sounds extreme to me. Any help/suggestions?

Your mechanic could use an inflatable bag to separate the window from the door, then stick a metal hanger inside the car to attempt to actuate the door handle from the inside. I don't think sawing the outer door handle off will do much.

Some cars have a perforated metal plate in the wall that separates the trunk from the cabin that's meant to be punched out in the event the customer orders the "ski bag" option. Does your car have that?
