My husband right now in henry county jail here in ga, for dui and driving on a suspended license. He have to serve 30 days with community service,and$1300 fine including with 2 year probation. After his time serve in henry county transferred to clayton county for probation violation. Should I pay off his probation $806. But will he still serve time. If he does how long. farrow

I called his probation officer and she only gave me the amount. An told me to paid by I do not know yet. Because if I do he probably serve time also.

i suggest you wait to see what happens with his probation violation hearing -

 

it obviously is not for him not paying his supervision fees, but for the new arrest and conviction of the DUI - there is no rush to pay this money - the law is one cannot be violated merely on non payment of fees, if there is an inability to pay - so wait to see what happens at the hearing - if it comes up and that is the only thing holding him from not being incarcerated then pay it
