Question

My car (1994 Acura Integra LS) all of a sudden won't shift out of park w/out using a key in the shift lock release. What is the problem?

Answer

There is a lock solenoid in the console that's triggered by the brake switch. You will need to disassemble enough of the console to access the solenoid and test for power and ground when the brake is applied with the key on.
