Info Request

Hi - Thanks for bringing your question to us here at JustAnswer.com. I have to ask a few questions before I can solve your problem:

- Is this a problem with only one particular file? Try/have you tried any others, with what result?
- Where does the printing stop? Is the one page that does print correct and complete?
- What application or applications have you been using to print from, that have had this problem?

A prompt response with this info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Answer

Hi - thanks for getting the info to me. A prompt answer helps.

I think you should try seeing whether your printer is set to print only one page. This would be a setting in the Printer dialog (which shows when you send a print to the printer... for an example, see
http://blogs.technet.com/blogfiles/jamesone/WindowsLiveWriter/TerminalServicesprinting_FF1B/TS-easy-print%202_2.jpg
- the setting to check is where it says, "Print Range". Normally that is set to All, but if set to "Page(s) From [x] to [y]" with values of x = 1 and y = 1 also.... that is to say, if set to "Print from page one to page one", then this willl cause printing of only the first page.

If you are printing from Internet Explorer browser, then you would check the setting Page Range in the Print dialog box - normal setting there is "All", but your problem could be caused by "Pages" being selected with a value of "1".
Or perhaps the setting is to "Current Page", in which case seeing if print changes when you scroll the page down, to at least page 2 or 3, before printing.... in either case, select "All" and your problem should be solved.

This setting might have gotten changed on an occasion when only the top of a web page needed to be printed, not the rest (perhaps 10 or more pages!) of the web page, so just one page print got selected, the system remembered that, and so it has to be reset in order for the whole thing to work.

Thanks for consulting us here at JustAnswer.com. Please remember that when you have tried this solution out, feedback is always of interest.
