I have a portable Amana air condition and the red ligh is on how do I fix it

there is no water in there I checked that

Answer

if there is no water in there and the light is coming on there is going to be a problem with the internal drain solenoid ,pan or the microswitch for the bucket,since they are a sealed unit,they are difficult to work on,they need to get taken completely apart to get at the internal drain,you can really only check that the bucket is seating properly,if there is a drain spout empty that,but if the problem reappears its usually a shop job
