Question

Mono flo system... the last radiator will not keep it's flow. Piping has been changed from BI to hepex, same size. New tees installed, same size. Is there a certain distance the supply tee and the mono tee need to be apart? Line has been bled, flow is present when bleeding line, but goes away within minutes!

Answer

Hi Greg,

Yes on a Monoflow system your tee's must be with in 12" of each other, plus they must be facing in the proper manner if either of these are not right you will loose your flow.

My valves are withih 6" of each other. I have a regular tee on the supply side and a mono flo tee on the return, with the flow going the correct direction. Would it matter if the the were swithed, i.e. the supply had the mono flo tee?

Do you have any ideas/thoughts/suggestions for me to do/try to get this radiator to work? HAve you seen/heard of this happing before?

Answer

Hi Greg,

Yes I have seen guy's pleof time either install the tee's in the wrong direction or have them facing in the wrong direction. Unfortunately you need to correct the tee and you will be fine like the rest of the other ones you have there.
