Answer

do you know if the pump is getting the oil to the nozzle assembly? you can detach the small oil line going to the nozzle and put it in a bottle and reset it to see if it is pumping oil.

Answer

if you are getting oil from this line, shoul fill bottle fast. pull out nozzle assy. & replace nozzle with same size. make sure electrodes are set correctly

1 half inch up from center of nozzle

1 eighth inch out in front of nozzle

1 eigtht inch gap between electrodes

after nozzle assy. is re-installed, you can drag screwdriver across transformer terminals while it is running to check transformer. should arc halfway across, use a good screwdriver and be careful! 10,000 volts! this should get it going

Answer

if you are'nt getting oil from this line, change the fuel filter & bleed line if it is a 1 pipe oil system. bleeder on suntec pump is on front at bottom. bleeder on webster pump is on top near oil line. if its a two pipe oil system it should bleed itself but sometimes you may have to fill the oil filter can to prime it.Cool

Answer

i dont know how old your tank is but some of the 50 yr old tanks had foot valves at the bottom of the oil line. i have seen these stop up and create a vacuum on the oil after a few minutes of running. the only fix is to dig up the line, pull it out of tank & cut the footvalve off & let it drop to bottom of tank. dont ever put one back. if it does light and burn 45 sec and lock-out, the cad cell eye is bad. yellow wires lead to it under transformer where nozzle assy. is.
