Answer

Hello XXXXXXXXXX
Welcome to JA It could very likely be the injector. When you pull the plug if you see oil on it engine failure like rings or valve seals are a poss but if it is dry or wet with fuel than an injector is the cause. The best way is to swap the injectors from cyl 2 and 3 and see if the miss flowes the injetor.

Not sure what you mean by above, can you explain ?? If I arrange the have the injectors cleaned and the misfire is still there would you suggest to do anything else ??

The plugs, engine seal (there was a leak and oil was soaking the plugs), ignition wires and coils have all been changed

I am sorry I miss read your post. I thought you knew cyl 3 was the miss. Can you get the fault memory scanned to tell the exact cyl that is missing. Most auto zone parts stores will do this for free. Is there no problem at idle? It could very well be a sticking or dirty injector. Make sure all your new wires are pushed down tight it should not have gotten worst after the coil and wires. It is unlikely to be a vacuum leak or a stuck egr valve if it runs ok at idle. I would try to get a good scan and if that tells us nothing than a good injector cleaning would be the cheapest next step.
