If you are located in the UK, and move overseas to live taking your lap top with you. Can anyone including law enforcement identify where you are located from e-mails sent around the globe based on your IP address?

In every email you send there is a log of where that email came from, so they would be able to tell what email server sent the message and based on IP where in the world that server is and who owns that IP address. However depending on you email provider you could send email from the UK via a US server. If you are not hosting your own email server then that is probably as close any non law enforcement can track you. Law enforcement could go to your email provider and request addition information depending on local laws and then you could probably be tracked to your machines IP when you sent the message.
